1,054,178. Camouflage paint. K. B. SVENSK FARGINDUSTRI, LUNDIN & CO. June 2, 1964, No. 22833/64. Heading C4A. [Also in Division C3] A camouflage paint reflecting ultra-violet light for use in winter contains to an essential degree one or more white pigments having a high reflection factor in the range of wavelengths between 3000 Š and 4000 Š and a binder, the ratio of pigment to binder .being such. that particles of pigment protrude from the painted surface. The pigment may be one or more of the sulphates, carbonates, silicates or oxides of barium, calcium or magnesium, or an oxide of antimony. Suitable binders include linseed oil alkyds, polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl isobutyl ether, ethyl cellulose, nitrocellulose or chlorinated rubber, dissolved in xylene, toluene, ethyl acetate, acetone, alcohol and/or water, or dispersed or emulsified in water. A plasticizer such as chlorinated diphenyl may be included.
