Synthetic cis-rubbers, particularly polybutadiene and polyisoprene, are stabilized by the addition of a dithiophosphate of the formula wherein R is alkyl, substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, A is a metal atom, and n is an integer 1, 2, 3, or 4.
