Abstract

Ceramic ware is obtained by forming the ware on or in moulds, subsequently drying the formed workpieces on their moulds to a water content sufficiently low to permit their removal from the moulds, removing them from the moulds, and drying them for a further period to a water content sufficiently low to permit firing. Water contents quoted are 6% and 3% respectively for the two drying stages.
