Abstract
1,052,696. Typewriters &c. MARCONI CO. Ltd. July 16, 1965 [Sept. 16, 1964], No. 37912/64. Heading B6F. A key-interlock device comprises a non- stretchable tape 7 arranged over a series of support rollers so that when the desired number of keys are depressed (usually one) the tape is taut and prevents depression of further keys. The tape 7 may be adjustably mounted in fixed end supports 4, 5; in a modification it may be an endless tape around two or more supports. The key extensions, which may also have rollers, arranged to act on different parts of the loop including acting on the underside of the loop.
