Abstract

1,052,154. Spare tyre cover. VEREINIGTE DEUTSCHE METALLWERKE A.G. March 2, 1965 [March 21, 1964], No. 8925/65. Heading B7J. [Also in Division B8] A spare tyre cover comprises a one-piece moulded plastics material component having arcuate retaining clips 3 formed in the side walls of the cover and adapted to grip the tyre 2. A window 7 is formed with a reinforced edge 8, the bottom edge 9 of the cover being likewise reinforced and having a groove 10 in which a rubber strip can be inserted. In another type of bottom edge, Fig. 4 (not shown), the edge is bent out and has a corresponding shaped strip 11 fitted thereon. A grip 12 may be provided to lift the cover.
