Abstract

1,051,417. Tissue dispensing cartons. KIMBERLY-CLARK CORPORATION. Feb. 21, 1964 [March 5, 1963], No. 7420/64. Heading B8P. A tissue dispensing carton 10 made of cardboard has, in its top wall 16, a dispensing opening 12, the opening being formed in manufacture or being defined by a line of perforation for later removal. A sheet of polyethylene of 1-5 mils. is bonded to the underside of top wall 16 whilst under a slight degree of tension and is perforated along a line 20. In a second embodiment two sheets of material, overlapping in the central portion of the opening, are bonded to the underside of the top wall, tissues being withdrawn between the overlapping portions. The tautness of the flexible material ensures that the sheets contract after removal of a tissue.
