Abstract
1,051,296. Friction clutches; electromagnetic disc brakes. FAWICK CORPORATION. July 14, 1965 [Sept. 2, 1964], No. 29862/65. Headings F2C and F2E. In an electromagnetic friction clutch or brake (clutch only shown) wherein energization of a stationary electromagnet 12 moves left an armature 13 to engage interleaved friction discs 15, 16 respectively splined to relatively rotatable members 11, 10, the member 10 comprises an end plate 19 of cold rolled low carbon steel to which spring steel fingers 18 are welded or brazed. The fingers 18 engage recesses 17 in the discs 16.
