Abstract
1,050,428. Valves; Junction pieces. HATTERSLEY (ORMSKIRK) Ltd. Feb. 15, 1965 [April 15, 1964], No. 15531/64. Headings F2G and F2V. A valve comprises a casing 12, Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown), formed with a male union which can be attached to a central heating radiator valve 11 and which includes a butterfly disc closure 12b mounted on trunnions 12c. The trunnions 12c have channels 12d, to locate sealing rings 12e, diametrical slots by which they may be rotated, and bevelled heads 12g, to secure them in position when the casing 12 has been plastically deformed about them by rolling. In a further embodiment the casing has annular upstanding portions which are bent over to secure the trunnions in position.
