Abstract
1,050,173. Injection moulding. P. ROTHSCHILD, G., WISKIN, and S.I.S.I.M. S.r.L., [trading as IMPER S.A.S.]. June 11, 1964 [Oct. 7, 1963], No. 24292/64. Heading B5A. A profiled member having two or more spaced-apart profiled sections is formed by moulding plastics material in a multi-part mould, removing firstly a mould part which forms one end of the member and secondly mould parts which form the space or spaces between the profiled sections, then moving the member axially so that one or more profiled sections occupies or occupy the adjacent space or spaces, removing mould parts which form the profiled sections, and finally removing the member from the mould. A cam 17 is injection moulded in a mould, the bottom plate 29 of which being then moved downwardly relatively to a fixed top plate 19 causing blocks 25, 26, engaging fixed inclined rods 23 and 24 (not shown), to slide transversely to withdraw, from the cam 17, plates 21, 22 which have moulded the spaces between the cam elements. The cam 17 is then displaced axially either manually or by an ejector 36 so that the plates 40, 41 (Fig. 6, not shown), which have moulded the profiled peripheries of the cam sections, become aligned with the spaces between the latter. The plates 40, 41 are then slid transversely to remove them from the cam 17 which is then ejected from the mould.
