Abstract

Turbine blades and similar articles are made from niobium-base alloys containing hafnium carbide by firstly heating the alloy to 1550-2000 DEG C., secondly heating the alloy to 1000-1350 DEG C. and finally forming the article as by pressing and/or forging.
