Abstract

1,047,998. Photographic processing apparatus. EASTMAN KODAK CO. June 14, 1965 [June 15, 1964], No.25040/65. Heading G2A. A film 12 to be processed is held in contact with processing surfaces 38, 40 and rinsing surface 42 by a film-engaging shoe 98 which is supported by levers 102 and 112 arranged to allow retraction of the end of the shoe 98 associated with the processing surfaces before the film is finally released by lifting all of the shoe. It is stated that this procedure ensures that all the developed part of a film is rinsed before the film is finally released from the device. The lever 112 is pivoted to a lever 110 pivoted about a fixed pin 104 and having a follower 114 riding on cam 92. The lever 102 is also pivoted about pin 104 and engages cam 92. The clearance between the shoe and processing surfaces is determined by screw 124. Processing fluids are supplied to the surfaces 38, 40, 42 through holes 20, 22, 24. The film is wiped by a squeegee 56 and two pivoted arms assist in the initial feeding of the film.
