Abstract

A polyolefine mixture comprising 60-95% by weight of a polyethylene having melt viscosities corresponding to 15-values of 0.1 to 40, prepared by a low pressure polymerization process, and 5 to 40% by weight of a polypropylene having an isotactic fraction of at least 60% by weight and having a melt viscosity corresponding to 15-values of 0.1 to 40, is used in the production of fibres, wires and ribbons by the conventional methods. The mixture may also contain a stabilizer and/or a filler and/or a dye and/or a pigment.
