Abstract
1,047,353. Hydraulically-operated elevators. E. HERION. Feb. 20, 1964 [Feb. 20, 1963], No. 7082/64. Heading B8L. A control system for an hydraulically - operated elevator comprises change - over valves which are adapted to be tripped by the elevator car and additionally by hand by means of contacts and which regulate the release of pressure medium to the load and also regulate the return cross-section of the hydraulic circuit. In operation, in the starting position for upward movement, Fig. 2, pressure in the auxiliary line 20 is applied through a throttle 26 to the piston 9 of the starting valve 6 and moves the piston down, against the action of a spring 12 thereby slowly closing the return line 3 and producing a slow rise in pressure in the main pressure line 2 to open valve 14 and allow pressure fluid to pass to the main closure member 38. The member 38 is connected to a piston 22, 23, acted on by pressure from the line 4, through an auxiliary line 24 and the open valve 25, and from the line 2, and opens to allow the elevator car 5 to begin to rise. As soon as the car reaches a predetermined point before the desired landing, a valve 27 is opened to allow pressure to build up in front of the piston 13 of the arrival valve 7 through auxiliary lines 24, 28, 19. Simultaneously, pressure builds up in front of the piston 17 to open the fine arrival valve 16. The return line 3 is thereby opened through the valves 7, 16 and the car is slowed. At the end position, the car engages contacts to close the valve 25 thereby closing the auxiliary line 24 and causing the closure member 38 to close rapidly. For downward movement, the three valves 25, 27, 32 are opened and the piston 9 of a departure valve 8 is raised through the auxiliary lines 18, 28, 24, to open the return line 3. Since the closure member 38 is again opened, the valve 14 is closed and slow starting is effected through the fluid return through the valve 8. For slow running into the bottom landing the valve 32 is closed, allowing the piston 13 of valve 8 to descend and, at the landing, the valves 25, 27 are closed to close the fine arrival valve 16 and the closure member 38. The auxiliary lines are provided with adjustable throttles 26, 29, 30, 31 and a pressure relief valve 33 is provided in the line 28. The valves 6, 7, 8 are provided with adjustable stops 11.
