1,044,062. Roll holders. KODAK Ltd. May 29, 1964 [June 13, 1963], No. 23545/63. Heading A4G. A box-like dispensing container housing a roll of sensitized material, e.g. X-ray film, is provided in two opposite walls with aligned weakened portions to receive means for rotatably supporting the roll. The container may be of cardboard and have weakened press-out portions which receive either a rod passed axially through the roll or a pair of bungs serving as stub axles to support the roll. The weakened portions may comprise preformed apertures covered with thin paper. The weakened portions are preferably located off-centre of their respective walls to ensure that the roll is supported clear of the base of the container.
