Peeling potatoes etc.; removing eyes and the like.-A wooden handle d, preferably of the shape shown, is connected to a piece of sheet metal a so as to leave a space g between it and the plate, which is perforated by punching so as to form jagged edges c. A hook-shaped cutter e having a sharp edge f is connected to the handle. The potato &c. is scraped by the jagged edges, the portions removed passing into the space behind, from which they can be removed by dipping into water. Eyes &c. are removed by the cutter e.
