In a machine for filling cans with a plastic product, such as meat, two cylinders A, A<SP>1</SP> are alternatively placed in communication with feed shoots d by rotating apertured sleeves C, C<SP>1</SP> situated in the cylinders. Pistons A<SP>2</SP>, A<SP>3</SP>, reciprocating in unison in opposite directions, alternatively force the contents of each cylinder into a further apertured cylinder B, a piston B<SP>1</SP> then discharging the contents into a can d<SP>2</SP> on a conveyer belt D<SP>1</SP>. The cylinder B is rotatable so as to bring its aperture b into communication with the respective cylinder A, A<SP>1</SP>. The movement of the pistons A<SP>2</SP>, A<SP>3</SP> can be adjusted to vary their stroke volume.
