Abstract

1,039,578. Piston extrusion apparatus. J. H. M. VAN DOORNIK. Oct. 8, 1963 [Oct. 10, 1962], No. 39694/63. Heading FIR. A non-deformable open ended container 1 has a discharge nozzle 3, a manually operated piston 4 and a closure member comprising a cap 5 and an extension piece 5a for the piston 4. When the piston has been pushed into the container 1 so as to be out of reach of the operator, the piece 5a is detached from the cap 5 and inserted in the container as shown by the chain dash lines. In alternative embodiments the cap may fit into the extension piece, which may also be formed as a collar around the nozzle.
