Abstract
1,037,729. Thermopiles. E. J. P. CALVET. April 21, 1965 [April 30, 1964], No. 16855/65. Heading H1K. [Also in Division G1] Bars 16, 17 alternately of bismuth telluride charged with antimony telluride and of bismuth telluride charged with bismuth selenide are arranged in ladder formation and are connected in series by means of copper strips 14, 15 to which they are welded and which are secured to and insulated from two parallel aluminium bars 12, 13 by means of a synthetic resin (Fig. 3, not shown). As shown in Fig. 2, a plurality of the resulting thermopiles 11 are disposed radially between a calorimeter cell 4 (see Division G1) and an enclosing block 1, being fitted into channels 10 formed in the outer face of the cell 4 and in the wall of the cavity 3 containing the cell.
