Abstract

An extrusion piece for suppressing the balloon on a spinning-spindle terminates in a head formed with a number of radial wings separated by grooves of V-section, the edge of each wing being curved downwardly and inwardly in a convex position from a point 7 of maximum diameter and then reverses to extend downwardly in a concave position to a point of minimum diameter 8 below which the diameter of the extension increases again. The bottoms of the grooves between the wings diverge outwardly from top to bottom.
