Abstract

In a concrete reinforcement grid some of the intersections of longitudinal and transverse rods are encased in a synthetic plastics material. The casing may be formed by injection moulding, winding a plastics tape around the joint and heat sealing it or by sintering a mass of plastics material. The junction is sufficiently strong to hold the frame-work together at least during transport.
