Abstract

1,033,063. Sound insulated flooring. H. ENDER. Feb. 15, 1963 [Feb. 17, 1962], No. 6286/63. Headings E1B, E1K and E1V. A sheet of resiliently compressible material, simultaneously acting as a load bearing surface and a sound insulator, has a plurality of curved divergent wall cavities having their opposite ends in common planes. The cavities may be substantially hemispherical or bellmouthed. The sheet may be placed under a prefabricated floor panel or may be combined with a similar sheet of lesser thickness acting as shuttering for a poured concrete floor, Fig. 6. The bearing feet may face downwards and have substantially hemispherical extensions.
