Abstract
1,032,468. Control of A.C. motors. KITO SEISAKUSHO KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Aug. 21, 1963, No. 33169/63. Heading H2J. A safety circuit for starting a three-phase induction motor 3 in the correct direction comprises relay 2<SP>1</SP> for interchanging the supply connections to terminals Y, Z, the relay being de-energized or energized according to the phase sequence of the supply voltage. The coil 6 of the relay is energized by the vectorial sum of component voltages D, E, derived from phaseshifter R1, Co, and voltage divider R2, R3, respectively. In one condition, the voltages D, E, are balanced and the coil 6 is de-energized. With a different phase sequence, the coil 6 becomes energized to change-over the contacts C, C<SP>1</SP>. The circuit may be employed in a system for controlling a reversible motor for operating between limiting positions.
