Abstract

1,031,771. Photographic cameras. KODAK Ltd. March 11, 1963 [March 9, 1962], No. 9280/62. Heading G2A. The output of a photo-electric cell 6 forming part of a built-in exposure control device is adjusted in accordance with driving members formed on or in the leading end of a film loaded in the camera. The driving members may be serrations 5 which actuate a panel 17 to cause a rack 11 to rotate an apertured cylinder 8 through gear 10. The photo-electric cell is positioned within the cylinder behind a window 7. The output of the cell 6 controls the exposure either through a galvanometer operating an indicator to provide a guide for manually setting diaphragm opening and/or shutter speed or through a galvanometer which automatically sets these valves. The driving members may alternatively vary a rheostat in the cell circuit to vary its output.
