Abstract

1,031,241. Ingot strippers. WELLMAN ENGINEERING CORPORATION Ltd. March 13, 1963 [March 20, 1962], No. 4152/62. Heading B3F. An ingot stripper of the type described in Specification 564,208, which is referred to, is characterized in that the stripping means is operable through an additional distance in the sense which will cause a closing of the extracting tongs positively to close the holding tongs so that the very high pressure generated by the stripping means is transmitted to the holding tongs, so that these may be used for manipulating and transporting ingots &c.
