Abstract
1,030,869. Loud-speakers. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 27, 1962 [Oct. 17, 1961], No. 37201/61. Headings H4J and H4X. Two sub-frames 1, 2 carrying loud-speaker units 8 are hinged at 4<SP>1</SP> and may be used as a concentrated source, as shown, or pivoted into alignment and secured by a catch 9 to form a line source. Each sub-frame comprises side and end walls 3, 4, 5 with stiffening struts 7 and a front baffle and a rear wall beyond which the side and end walls project to provide storage space for ancilliary equipment. This space may be enclosed, when the sub-frames are disposed as shown, by a single back member integral with a top cover with carrying handle.
