Abstract
1,029,491. Automatic control. VAN DER HEEM N.V. Feb 13,1964 [Feb.14, 1963], No. 6170/64. Heading G3R In a system in which a servomotor adjusts the position of a member, a control signal and a negative feedback signal dependent on the position of the member are applied to a servo-amplifier the gain of which is automatically reduced by means responding to hunting oscillations of the signal applied to the servomotor or of the negative feedback signal. As described, a servomotor 4, Fig. 1 (not shown), is controlled through a transistor amplifier 3 by the difference between a control signal U in and a feedback signal derived from a signal generator 2 representative of the position of servomotor 4. The signal applied to servomotor 4 is also applied to a filter 6 which stabilizes the system by permitting hunting frequency components to reduce the gain of amplifier 3 through a rectifier 5. Filter 6 may be a differentiating RC network and may, alternatively, be associated with the output of signal generator 2. Application to A.C.and D.C . motors is described.
