Abstract

1,028,379. Guide-tube rocket magazine. R. A. ROBERT. Nov. 10, 1964, No. 45846/64. Heading F3C. A magazine for carrying and launching airplane rocket-bombs has a number of tubes emerging at the surface of a tapered nose portion 24, each tube being provided with a peripheral annular diaphragm in front of the rocketbomb contained therein and collapsable at the passage of the latter down the tube. As shown, a partition 32 of thin metal presenting holes 33 of the same number and arrangement as the tubes is secured between the nose 24 and the body 21. The holes 33 are of polygonal shape and the peripheral portion of the partition 33 around each hole which forms the collapsable diaphragm is slightly convex towards the front.
