Abstract
1,027,459. Sampling liquids; bottling. A. C. ZEILER-TE BOVELDT, [trading as FIRMA MACHINEFABRIEK J. W. C. ZEILER]. Nov. 5, 1962 [Nov. 9, 1961], No. 41703/62. Headings B8N and B8T. Milk samples are accumulated and stored in bottles 6 mounted on an endless band conveyer 5 within a refrigerated cabinet 1, the samples being fed to the bottles in turn as they are stepped into position in front of a hatch 14 and a delivery nozzle 3. The bottles are viewed through a window 2 and are illuminated by means of lamps 13. Each bottle is covered by a hinged cap which is raised automatically as the bottle is moved to the hatch 14. A number of such conveyers 5 loaded with sample bottles are mounted in a stack and a single delivery nozzle 3 is movable on vertical guides to gain entry to the bottles through a hatch such as 14 for each conveyer in the stack. Since the delivery nozzle is rinsed before the delivery of a sample it is normally outside the cabinet 1 and is passed in through the hatch for the delivery of each sample.
