Abstract

1,026,240. Screw discharge of material. AUTOPACK Ltd. Oct. 20, 1964, No. 42689/64. Addition to 970,623. Heading B8S. Discharge screw 4 is driven for a specified number of rotations by twospeed motor 13 operating through drive 14, 5, 6 and 3. Shaft 5 also drives timer 12 through chain 10 and after the predetermined number of revolutions timer 12 operates two switches, one of which introduces a resistance to slow the motor and the other of which stops motor 13 and applies brake 9. Alternatively, the motor and control therefor may be hydraulic. These forms of drive for screw 4 are alternative to that set out in Specification 970,623.
