Abstract

1,026,082. Permanent magnets. BELIFINANZ G.m.b.H. March 11, 1963 [April 24, 1962], No. 9602/63. Heading H1P. [Also in Division A6] Toy building members with magnetic adhesion have one or more side faces provided with one or more flat magnets in which the poles are at right angles to said faces, and the sides remote therefrom include soft iron areas. The magnets may be backed by iron plates to increase the adhesive strength. The surfaces may be provided with nipples and indentations so that the blocks may be positively located in many different positions. Alternatively, the magnets may be sunk, Figs. 13 and 14, to register with similar shaped raised areas on the opposing faces.
