Abstract

1,025,950. Light-responsive screens. W. EBERSPACHER and H. EBERSPACHER, [trading as J. EBERSPACHER]. March 4, 1963, No. 8586/63. Heading E1J. An antiglare screen fixed or adjustable, for a glazed skylight consists of glass screens 7a positioned forwardly, with respect to the sun's incident rays, of and at a determined angle to the skylight openings, the screens being made of silicate glass and/or of plastic glass made of synthetic resins, e.g. ethylene derivatives, e.g. polyacryl acid which, upon being subjected to radiation, assumes reversible self-tinting properties or undergoes any other reversible change in its transparency. The surfaces of the screens have such profile as to reflect the incident rays away from the building. The screens may be fixed to the glazing bars and at right-angles to the glazed area and be interconnected by struts 9.
