Abstract

A dyeing installation includes a dyeing tank adapted to contain a material to be dyed and through which a dyeing liquor is pumped and a detecting device connected in the liquor circuit so that a portion of the liquor is by-passed through the detecting device, said device having a transparent region permitting continuous visual observation of the colour density of the liquor or a colorimetric measurement thereof. If a colorimeter is used it may be connected to a graph recorder and a temperature measuring device may also be incorporated.
