Abstract
102,404. Read, A. E., Franks, J. E., and Brooks, M., (trading as Walsall Hardware Manufacturing Co.). Feb. 11, 1916. Plug couplings. - Wall plugs are mounted upon an open-ended box 1 of tapered form adjustably secured within a wall-box A which is embedded in the wall so that its front edges are below the surface of the plaster. The box is adjusted to bring its front edges flush with the surface of the plaster by means of two diagonally - opposite bearing - screws 14 passing through screwed lugs on the box 1 and bearing on the wall-box and two diagonally-opposite set-screws 13 passing through the box 1 and screwing into the wall-box. In the adjusted position, the walls of the box 1 project beyond the wall box, as shown, so that bits of plaster are prevented from entering the wall box or the adjustable inner box. The front of the inner box is closed by a cover-plate 7 secured by screw rings 3, 5 in the usual way and projecting beyond the edges of the box. A space is left at the back of the box 1 for the sla.ck of the leads.
