Abstract

1,022,919. Shores. HICO CORPORATION OF AMERICA. April 9, 1964 [April 10, 1963], No. 14824/64. Heading E1E. A telescopic shore for a ledger 14 in concrete formwork comprises an inner H-section member 1 having slots 7 in its web, an outer tube 2 having near its upper end spirally-arranged pairs of aligned slots 5, and an interconnecting wedge 8 providing fine adjustment of the shore length. The wedge 8 is locked in position by a screw clamp 17, the wedge and clamp being retained by a chain and ring 16.
