A nozzle is attached to a hole 2 in a pipe 1 by a plate having diametrically opposed extending arms 11 and collars 12 sliding over the pipe and securing the arms between the pipe and the collars. As described the end 3 of the nozzle fits within the pipe and is prevented from passing through the pipe by a collar (not shown) which also acts as an abutment for the central portion 10 of the plate. However, the plate may be integral with the nozzle. A sealing-ring may be placed between the collar and the pipe
