Abstract

102,188. Fildes, S. Feb. 19, 1916. Cleats.-A cord grip for electric conductors consists of a cylindrical tube v attached to or engaging the body of an electric fitting and provided with two or more displaced holes through its wall for each conductor, the holes being so positioned that each conductor end can be inserted in the tube at one end and be threaded through the holes in a sinuous path. In the construction shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the tube is provided with three holes for each conductor c, d. The tube may be provided with a flange to secure it to the fitting or may be screwed thereto. The Provisional Specification describes also a construction in which each conductor is threaded through a common central hole and through separate displaced holes, in an insulating-disk; or, instead of the displaced holes, peripheral grooves may be formed in the disk to carry the conductors.
