An acid tin plating bath is improved by adding naphthylamine or an N-substituted derivative containing 1-5 C atoms, e.g. N-ethyl and naphthylamine. Derivatives of both a - and b -naphthylamine are specified, and and phenol sulphonic acid may also be present.
