Nested articles 13 are packed in cavities between blocks 10 of low density polystyrene, the central longitudinal axes of the cavities lying in the plane of the juxtapositioned faces. The nested articles may be equally sized such as cups or plates, or may be similarly shaped but graduated in size such as a wine glass, sherry glass and liqueur glass. The assembled blocks of polystyrene are placed in a cardboard box.
