Abstract

Thread-guiding apparatus, which allows fresh guide surfaces to be exposed to the thread, comprises a support and a guide element projecting therefrom and releasably secured thereto by means which allow the guide to be rotated and moved longitudinally. Two parallel guide pins e.g. 20 protruding from a block 13 have grooves 9, at their centres which are engaged by a rod 11 locked by a screw 12. When the screw is loosened, the pins may be slid longitudinally or rotated by a tool applied to a slot 10 in the end of each pin. In another form, the grooves are disposed in an end of the pin and are engaged by a leaf-spring.
