Abstract

1,017,546. Photographic flashlight apparatus. AGFA A.G. Oct. 7, 1963 [Oct.11, 1962], No. 39439/ 63. Heading G2A. A photographic flashlight apparatus has a plurality of circuit branches, each including a flash bulb holder and being of different effective resistance, the arrangement being such that the flash bulb holders are in parallel and that, with a bulb in each holder, consecutive operation of a common switch causes consecutive ignition of the flash bulbs. In one embodiment, a capacitor is charged by a battery 1 through a resistor 3. Circuit branches 4, 5, 6, have holders 7, 8, 9 for flash bulbs. Resistor 11 in branch 6 has a greater resistance than resistor 10 in branch 5. A switch 15 is synchronized with camera shutter. Flash bulb 7 is ignited upon the first closure of switch 15; after recharging of the capacitor the switch 15 is closed again and the bulb 8 is ignited; and upon the third closure bulb 9 is ignited. In another embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown) circuit branches 27, 28, and 29 have resistors 33, 34 and 35 of equal value and flash bulb holders 30, 31, and 32.
