Abstract

1,017,408. Electronic counters. MULLARD Ltd. March 11, 1964 [Dec. 19, 1962], No. 47957/62. Heading G4A. In a multi-denominational counter of the kind described in Specification 1,017,406, readin is limited to one denomination at a time and carry from lower denominations is inhibited. A and B guide pulses are applied to stepping tubes such as Vu, Vt of all denominations and pre-pulses PP are also applied as described in the earlier Specification. Assuming that contacts S2t, S3t are closed then an entry is made into the tens tube Vt, carry being made if necessary to the hundreds tube. As contacts S2u, S3u are open, however, the units tube is disabled and carry therefrom is inhibited. Read-out may be effected in the manner described in Specification 1,017,407 (Fig. 3, not shown).
