Abstract

A strip 1 of polypropylene, high density polythene, P.V.C. or other stiff thermoplastic material for use as a draught excluder (see Division E1) is extruded in the form of two arms 2, 3 connected by a neck 4 forming a hinge portion. The arms may be equal or unequal, and may subtend an obtuse angle, as in Fig. 1 (not shown) or an acute angle. The term polypropylene includes copolymers of propylene containing minor amounts of other monomers, e.g. ethylene or butene-1 which do not destroy the stiffness of the polymer; copolymers of propylene made by sequential polymerization, preferably containing ethylene are particularly suitable.
