[Also in Division B8] A mixing device forming part of an arrangement for preparing crushed samples of coal (see Division B8) comprises a container 7 having rods 10 for engagement with slots formed in a support 9 which is mounted on the end of a shaft (not depicted) extending from a housing 12 and rotated by means of an electric motor, a lid being provided on the support for closing the top of the container.
