Abstract

1,010,362. Insulators. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. July 31, 1962 [Aug. 1, 1961], No. 27814/61. Heading H2C. The figure shows a shedded porcelain insulator each shed of which has two annular flanges 13, 14 cantilevered from thebody portion. Flanges 14 are mounted within flanges 13 and their ends are in the same transverse plane as the ends of the upper flanges. The hollow body portion of the insulator may be tapered. The insulator may be turned from a single piece intrusion in a ceramic material.
