Abstract

1,009,741. Humidifier. HANDSCRAFT CO. Oct. 8, 1963, No. 39569/63. Heading B1R. An air humidifier of the type comprising a rotating disc spraying into a stream of air water fed thereto by a tube rotating with the disc and dipping into a body of water within a housing has radial blades 58, Fig. 3, extending from a hollow hub 60 and the central portion of the rotating disc 56 is raised as shown, openings in the wall of the tube 54 suppling water to the underside of the raised portion of the disc. In a modification the blades 58, Fig. 5, are extended beyond the outer edge of the raised portion of the disc and openings 98 terminating in grooves 102 in the disc allow water to pass to the upper face of the disc, a radial groove in the underface of the disc extending from each opening 98 to the outer edge of the raised portion of the disc.
