Abstract

1,008,931. Machine tool details. DE VLIEG MACHINE CO. Jan. 30, 1963 [Feb. 1, 1962], No. 3786/63. Heading B3B. A cover for the ways of a machine tool comprises a plurality of identical sections 20, 21, 22 which can be stacked, and abutment means 45, 46 on the ends of the sections to prevent separation when the cover is extended. The cover is surmounted by a box 30 and moves on to a ledge 32 when stacked. The sections are pulled out when a wall member 50 engages the end of the slideway 14 and a projection on the cover 22 engages the front 31 of the box 30. The sections are supported on sliding feet 42.
