Abstract

1,007,394. Lathe tools. T. E. C. HIRST. June 11, 1964 [Oct. 15, 1963], No. 40528/63. Heading B3B. A lathe tool comprises a holder formed by portions 2, 3 secured by a screw 5, with a reaction screw 6, and a tip 1 held in recesses in the holder, the tip being of greater thickness than the total depth of the recesses. The adjacent faces of portions 2, 3 are angled and may be guided by a key and keyway, Fig. 5. The hollow may be shaped as in Figs. 3, 6 or 7.
