[Also in Division F4] The pedal board 10 of a vehicle is provided with an opening 14 which may be closed by a pivoted cover 17 having a resilient sealing layer 17<SP>1</SP> secured to it. The cover 17 is moved under control of a flexible cable 23 from a hand lever 24 under the dashboard so that when the cover is lowered to rest on the inturned edge 25 fresh air passing through the opening 12 in the external bodywork may enter into the lower part of the driver's compartment. Openings may be provided adjacent both front seats and are preferably covered by a wire mesh grille.
