[Also in Division E1 The driving gear 5 of a coal-winning installation, e.g. a plough 13 and face conveyer 2, is anchored in a roadway by hydraulically extensible members of which one or more members 13, 15 of said members is or are hinged at 16 to the portion of the driving gear 5 nearest the face and at the other end or ends react at 17 against the roadway, whilst one or more of the others of said members is each hinged at 21 to a portion of the driving gear remote from the face and to an associated portion of the first member or members at a level above the bottom of said member.
