A percussive drill comprises a drill rod 14, a guide tube 21 mounted on the rod, abutments such as 24 secured to the rod adjacent either end of the tube, and means 22 associated with an abutment and the tube to yieldingly restrain rotation of the tube on the rod. A means 22 comprising a spring washer is housed between spacing washers 25, 26. Spring and spacing washers are housed between the end of the tube which is not shown and an adjacent rod joint.
